Meet Ryan Forster and his isolated apiary project. He preserves feral honey bees and provides medical-grade honey and skin products.

Top bar hives: Ryan and the Kauai Bee Team is upholding the traditional top-bar methodology of apiculture. The bees free-form their comb as they would in hollow logs in the wild.

Isolated Bee Sanctuary: During winter time Ryan takes care of 1.5 to 3 million individual bees. In summer even up to 7.2 million.

Hive managment. Ryan's bees have access to some of the rarest nectar and pollen on earth, producing a honey that captures the island’s ancient medicine.

Rescuing unwanted hives: Kauai Bee Team’s primary mission is to protect Kaua`i’s pollinators by rescuing unwanted hives.
